My art photographs are usually made at very close range, and this proximity introduces some elements not found in images made from greater distances. My flower portraits are an invitation to contemplate this one particular flower.
Another favorite subject is “abstracts”, which can mean almost any objects photographed in such a way that their natures and uses become secondary to their colors, lines, textures and patterns. “What is it?” is the wrong question to ask about an abstract. It’s the mysterious image your eye keeps being drawn back to, the one you never tire of.
