MICHELE LEVIN

Michele Levin works a variety of mediums.  She paints in oil, acrylic, and watercolor.  She works in pastels and also does printmaking and sculpting.  Her subjects are inspired by nature, people, pets, antiques and places she has traveled.  Michele attended Carnegie-Melon University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Syracuse University in illustration.  She obtained her Masters in Art Education in 1981 and went on to teach art to children, grades kindergarten through twelve and to adults.  She has exhibited her work in galleries and art shows for over thirty years.

 

ARTIST'S STATEMENT:

“When I am creating, the process feels like energy flowing through me. I choose subjects that are most meaningful to me, projects that evoke fond memories of places I have been and events in my life.  I want my images to enrich other’s lives with tranquility and beauty.”
