Julie Leiman Weaver studied art at Parson’s School of Design in New York City. She was recently awarded an Artist Enhancement Grant from the Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs and the Miami-Dade Cultural Consortium and received an ARF Grant in 1996 and 2006 from the Pinellas County Arts Council.

Her work has been shown in several museum exhibitions. These include the 1995 ACC Southeast Crafts Competitive Exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, FL, the 1997 ACC Southeast Crafts Competitive Exhibition at the Hickory Museum of Art in NC and the 1996 Southeastern Juried Exhibition at the Mobile Museum of Art.

She was awarded a solo show at the Florida Capitol Complex in Tallahassee and a two person show at Hollywood City Hall in Hollywood, FL in 2001. More recently, she has shown at the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce and at Raymond James Financial, as well as The Summit Building in Clearwater.
She works in Acrylic, Watercolor and Pastel on paper as well as ceramic and glass.

Membership: The Pastel Society of Tampa Bay, Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, Plein Air Florida, Tampa Bay Plein Air Painters, International Plein Air Painters, TESA.

Awards: Patricia Bild Memorial Award for Merit—The Pastel Society of Tampa Bay Juried Exhibition; 2006 Best of Artists and Artisans Best of Florida Winner—Honorable Mention in Acrylic and Pastels
