Gainor Roberts is a multi-media artist working in Oil, Watercolor, Pastel, Egg Tempera and Monotype. She studied with world renowned painter Robert Brackman at the Art Students’ League as well as several other widely acclaimed artists.

She was born and brought up in Philadelphia and spent most of her life in the small town of Mystic, Connecticut. Her career as an artist began when she was a teen-ager although she digressed into the graphic arts to make a living.

She has exhibited widely in New England and is represented in many collections in America. She moved to Florida in 2001 and exhibits and teaches in the Tampa Bay area. Her classes in oil painting are an introduction to Impressionism. She also teaches watercolor, pastel and drawing, and holds workshops in monotype (a printmaking method) and Egg Tempera in New England and Florida.

She is attracted to many subjects including portraits, landscapes, cloudscapes, still life, flower paintings, symbolic paintings, nude figures and small works of fruits and vegetables. Many of her paintings are commissioned works which may be seen on her website. She loves to talk about art and is fascinated by the history of art, artists and their materials. Her paintings are characterized by color and design.
